Deal shouldn't go through.

I really hope that this deal doesn't go through. All Americans want to do is, make India reliant on US economically. They are trying to sell us obsolete nuclear technology which is too damn expensive. Through this deal, US businesses will get trillions of dollars over a long period of time and India a few reactors. We shouldn't fall for this USA's trick. We should give our scientific community their due recognition for developing nuclear technology indegeniously, and we are already leaders on thorium use. So just keep going ahead with it and be independent of anyone in any sector. Dont fall for these cheap American tricks, they have never done anything in their history until their self interest is involved in it. JAI HIND.

I am not posting with an Indian name, I am a true Indian who understands what US is trying to do with this deal. If civilian nuclear technology was so advanced, why is it that US is sceptical of building any new nuclear reactor for itself since the three mile island incident in 1979. They may have like around 100 nuclear power generators but they are not the experts on it. They produce only 20 percent of their electricity by nuclear energy. If nuclear technology is so great, why dont they try to take electricity production by nuclear energy to say about 78 percent (like France). As I said, US corporations need contracts for their commercial nuclear business, therefore all this deal and stuff. I would rather prefer working and investing on thorium technology in which we are pioneers. I would rather prefer to be a leader in some upcoming technology rather than taking some old obsolete technology. It is better to be a leader rather than following the leader. Also, people think that this deal is going to solve all the electricity problems, but thats a misconception. Its going to take about a decade and lotsssssssssss of money to see the miniscule results of this deal. We would have given a lot by that time and gained little. If you think then Iran's natural gas pipiline is less expensive and seeing our always good relations with Iran and bettering of relations with pakistan has more long term benefits than this stupid deal. Dont give into any US cheap tricks and try to do everything yourself, it may take time but in the end it will be good and proud moment for every Indian. JAI HIND.
