If someone has not studied beyond 10th standard, it is not a problem. In our country many boys and girls just go on studying without any purpose or aim. Many of them go to college just to pass time. It is better not to do such study. So it is not a problem if someone has not studied beyond 10th standard. However if any candidate has criminal background or if criminal cases are going on against some, then it is a matter of concern. Because then these criminals are going to make laws for us! Such candidates should not be allowed to stand for election. But no major political party is willing to bell the cat.

right u are, mr.sharma.first get these goondas out of all the parties.i think, what bangladesh did now is worth considering. have a nuetral military backed govt. and conduct the polls. u will say india is too big for this. atleast we can try this out.if niot for anything, it will put fear in the minds of the criminals.
