loyalty
by davis manoj martin on Apr 13, 2007 10:30 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Its is in every one of our heart and mind to respect the neighbour and when it comes to the whites/europeans it is more likely to be seen, unnecessarily we are bowing our heads for them to spare. Its 2007 we are booming to be an industrialist nation, which is evident from the investments and takeover done by Indian companies across the world since last couple of years, its time now to change our minds. If we are boasting that we can produce what ever we can, why cant you stand erect and give a good response. Humbleness is not required anymore, we have to go ahead with our mission and utilise the power for benefits of our citizens if it will fetch an income.

I will not say that humbleness was a strategy. It is considered a strength in Indian culture.

Directness is a cultural pattern and a psyche.

In a globalized world we have to be more direct. May have humility but direct.

Humility does not work with US - it is considered a sign of weakness. Humility is shown as a sign of respect in Asian cultures - it is a clear sign of weakeness and obsequience in the western world especially US - you need to stand for yourself, beleive in yourself....shouting you cause will do more for you here in US than trying to show humility - clearly not a viture
