It's not really about humans abusing animals as some animal rights activists make out to be. For that they must focus on large scale manufacturing units where these animals are bred and chopped for feast to their customers in millions every day. These sports are followed since very ancient times and cause very less damage to the environment and have a story behind them and a relation between the man and animal which is the ancestral past of groups who follow them and they must be practiced with full vigour so that one's roots are deep and firm. Such traditions which vary from place to place must be preserved with reforms through out the nation.

nowadays, it's a rare sight to see bulls used for farming. mostly its tractors. why not youths from tamilnadu(btw, i am also from tn) allow a tractor to run in full speed and try to tame it?

taming a tractor? you have a point and it should be replaced in place of animals for ploughing fields but it should be done in phases and i am sure tractors are becoming affordable to the poor farmers but other infrastructure facilities should be in place without which the tractor becomes a useless thing. I know of instances where poor brought tractors and could not pay back the loan because they were dependent on rains which is a scarcicty these days. With good irrigation facilities, roads and cold storage and other systems in place, tractor is a nice thing to keep. Otherwise it's a burden to farmers and you see suicides as they are happening in thousands in Andhra, Kerala, Maharashtra and some other states.

No Chaitanya, what is meant was it's such a stupid sport to engage in. Atleast 1 person dies during this sport and atleast 50-100 people get seriously injured. I don't know how courts allow this.

millions are dieing due to the diseases created and nurtured by "modern era" like AIDS, pollution of various kinds. These were not prevailent in ancient times. These activists must first focus on those things and te damage they did to environment ad humanity and the genocides they caused.

even now the amazon forests, the largest natural wealth where the trees are being chooped for the past couple of decades and a significant part of the forest is already cleansed. Same story in other natural sanctuaries. These are BIG stories along with nuclear and other devastating weapons which kill millions at a drop. And you are after a bull taming sport followed since ancient times that caused negligible damage to mother nature and is followed with entusiasm by people who cherish it.
