Why this reservation issue comes before every election? What the successive Govt. at the Centre have done for the last 60 years for upliftment of the backward people when reservation was given for first ten years only. Why this issue has been allowed to conntinue ? Reservation is liniked to votes. No party would servive without reservation. In India it would be very dificult to abolish this reservation system because no party would take the risk to abolish the system. Since the Governments at the centure could not do anything for the last 60 years, they would never be able to do anything. We the upper caste people will continue to languish and the plight of our children will be evern serious as each STate Govt. and the Centre Government intend to increse the per centage of reservation on sily grounds.

Politically they may wrong...if you sit and analyse the effects, those are very positive....just think of a country which only has brahmins or lower caste...will it prosper? we need everybody and it shud be inclusive growth....let s try to give a chance

Exactly edwin, let's give ALL of us an equal chance, without asking anybody what caste they belong to. All we need to ask is if the person can pass the tests for higher education and jobs. there aren't separate tests for 'upper castes' and 'lower castes'. Its the same test. So, either someone who has the merit or the money is getting through. And if you think merit and money are only with the 'upper caste' you may be grossly wrong. we only need to weed out the money power and allow everyone to compete on their merit, and then help those who could not make it on their merit. If 50:50 is your mantra, so is everyone's here. Everybody wants equality.
