Murthy may be a little better, But even he is not a 'Sheshan'
by sreekumar radhakrishnan menon on Apr 09, 2007 12:54 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Kalam was useless as President.

Remember the Office of Profit Bill he signed mutely. One of the Biggest Shame of Indian Parliament. The power hungry politicians of Congress and Left ganged up, they were not ready to forego their chairs of power and money. They shed all ideolagical pretence and sent the bill a second time to Mr. Kalam and he signed !! Sonia Gandhi shamelessly took her office of profits after resigning and again getting reelcted as MP!!!

But Murthy could be different, but even he is not a 'Sheshan'

And Murthy has vast business interests, the politicians will be able to blackmail him.

OK. What about you then? People expressing one's views (on forums in the name of free Democracy blah blah) doesn't mean that one has every right to assassinate the person (character, etc). Better grow up!!

How come you people are so ignorant? Whoever comes as President - there is HARDLY ANY SCOPE for them to involve into the matters of the Govt (PM & his gang Parliament)!!! Even with this limited scope - APJ did his best (by returning bills, going to Siachen, etc)!!!

BTW, I like Seshan too (but is he in the race?).

Are you going with wildest dreams of your life time???

As per Indian constitution Murthy, if Present is OK with any Bill, he can reject only once. If the same bill is placed before him, there is no other go - he/she has to sign.

Don't conclude like this.
