Lets not make Narayan Murthy a hero. He is a business man, and all he did was to make Infosys profitable and run the company well. We Indian have a great ability of making people gods even when people just do things which they are supposed to do. In a way this is so sad, since someone doing a job they are supposed to be is rare for us.

He is indeed a business man. But remember you need a lot of business sense to run a country. So its acutally a boon! In the west its quite common for biz people to get gov. responsibilities. Having said that, in India the job of the president doesnt have much of power. However, people like President Kalam and Murthy do a lot of good to the image of the country! So if Kalam doesnt want to continue, y not Murthy?
Let Mr.Murthy provide housing near his units instead of allowing them into the city,leave alone providing housing to millions as a president. IT employees are a cause of concern for high cost of living in Bangalore and Hyderabad, for the other sectors.
Another IT fallout is the dress habits of the IT crowd. In the name of lifestyle alien clothing and dress habits are encouraged. Let Mr.Murthy make his company truly Indian in all aspects.We should not lose identity.
