One must appreciate the high integrity and the concern for the national interests of Shri Narayan Murthy. However, one must also understand that he is / was chief of a company having turnover of around 10,000 Cr. which is not a very big even by Indian standards. The Infosys picture looks big because of its rate of growth and its share prices at stock market.
I feel that the better choice would be Dr. R A Mashelkar, the former DG of CSIR. He has all the qualities of Shri Murthy, in addition, he knows very well the power structures and politics played in the international sphere. As regards to the understanding of technology and motivating the youth, he is no less than Shri Murthy. Dr Mashelkar will be to guide the government in the various issues in international competition and politics.

Honorable President Mr.Kalam is perfect in all aspect if he decides to make naryana murthy as president then it would be a good decision i think coz he has the eyes of experience to choose the correct person

Mr. Kalam is very respectable person and he created a very different image of the president than the earlier political image. However, his passing reactions like those at Bangalore need not be viewed as his own views. And further, in a democracy, people can have some other views even with due respect to Mr. Kalam.
