Mr Murthy as a President?
by Rohit Mallya on Apr 09, 2007 12:15 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Hi
I would certainly support Mr Kalam as a president for the next term for the reasons of the calmness and performance he has shown during his current tenure. Thinking of Mr. Narayan Murthi as probable prospect for a president term in the near future, I am not sure of that. I dont deny the fact that Mr. Narayan Murthy has been instrumental in many things in the IT field and has had the experience in the advisory boards. However I would feel that Mr. Murthy could be more biased towards the IT fraternity and not modernization. I feel in country like India, modernization and computerization is very important but we must not digress from the backbone of the country i.e. Agriculture. We need to improve and apply modernization there. Will Mr. Murthy be thinking in that way is the question?

Thanks
Rohit

Indian president is just a rubber stamp with no powers. Let them make NRN the prime minister of india and make Manmohansingh the next President.
