Being a Tamilian I felt shamed in Europe, UK,US as a Tamil guy becoz i was not able to speak Hindi. I get less paid as a student in US compared to AP guys who worked with Punjabis and Gujjus.....
I feel ashamed that i wasn't able to speak Hindi infront of SRILANKANS,PAKis, Bangalas,Afghanis(Hindus)
1st i am an Indian, 2nd Tamilan.
THEN WHY THE HELL KARUNAS SON, DAUGHTER,GRAND SON LEARNED HINDI?

Students can't even legally work in the US and I can't imagine somebody being paid more for knowing Hindi unless it was for "hindi tutoring lessons". You are one funny dude !
Again, karunanidhi has to be ridiculed for the above subject matter but what is this "bakhwas" that you are talking about which is entertainin g in its ignorant-revel.

You are digressing from the issue at hand. Karunanidhi needs to ridiculed for his petty minority/religion politics ; ridicule him for that for all you want, but don't muddy up the waters here by bringing up other topics . Clearly you are not from Tamilnad nor are you a Tamil, as otherwise, you would have known that nobody is barred from learning "hindi" in tamilnad. Imposing Hindi forcerfully in the name of 'National Language' is what that is discouraged there and should be discouraged elsewhere in India too and most tamils are not anti-hindi; they are just not "pro-hindi"; I hope you understand the difference. If hindi is the preferred language then all local languages/culture would most definitely become obsolete, just like how "English" has become the preferred language at the cost of vernacular languages;everyone seems to think its cool to converse in English even when the other person can perfectly understand the vernacular language. When India is a land of several languages, how can one arbitrarily have "hindi" to be the national language--just because it is spoken in many states? Thinking that one language is superior to another is fascism too; Hence the constitution clearly states all Indian languages to be national languages . And I went to school with this grandson,(it is well know that his son went to a public tamil medium school) he did not study Hindi; But even if he did, I don't see anything wrong with that as every individual has the right to do what he thinks is good for him/her. Now to the topic, I am embarrassed to be an Indian where there is reservation in the name of caste/religion, if anything it should be based on one's income. Woe on your Karunanidhi for stooping low in the name of politics?

its because of MK that you can speak english and india is prospering from the service industry. its purely because of tamilians and other south indians that computer industry is flourishing. if you want to speak hindi to exclude other nationalities. it speaks of your character as a human. lets try to be inclusive not exclusive even to other nationalities. Thats what we want from americans, lets do the same to SL, etc
