BJP lost its base considerably in 2004. Drop from 183 to 138 (loss of 45 seats) was not because of TN or Andhra. How many seats BJP had in TN AP? 5? This loss is despite an impressive show by BJP in MP & Rajastan. Now they are loosing the battle in both those places and andin next elections they will suffer big losses in both MP and Rajastan. They wont probably compensate that loss from elsewhere.
In Bihar and Punjab being part of the opposition they benefitted from anti-incumbency. They are riding on strong allies shoulders. This week they lost 2 LS elections in Chatisgarh and Jharkand. By now BJP leadership might have understood what is in store.

So when did this Lok Sabha bye election in Jharkhand take place . Spinning stories, aren't we.
Dear South Indian: I think every commentetor agreed that in 2004 NDA lost because BJP allies did POORLY. They lost more seats than BJP.
Just check the number you will realize.
In Andhra alone, TDP was wiped out. Cong managed some 15 EXTRA seats without which BJP WOULD HAVE LEADING CENTRAL GOVT. Because BJP & Cong's difference was 6 seats.
Cong was called to form ministry because they had Max number.
IF BJP WOULD HAVE CALLED, WE WOULD HAVE SEEN DMK, NCP, PASWAN EVERYBODY WITH BJP AT THE CENTER ENJOYING POWER.

Don't crow too loudly about bjp but wait for the results.BTW did'nt bjp too compromise on terrorism at kandhahar? You did'nt win single handedly in punjab but had to ride piggy back on someone else. You accuse Mulayam but put up convicted murderers as candidates in punjab. Pot still calling the kettle black!

U guys should thank MK for behaving like a gentle man that he is during his alliance with bjp. Contrast it with what J. Jayalalatha the darling of the brahmin masses did to the brahmin guru Kanchi sankaracharya. And you Rss,VHP,BJP guys still support her clandestinely.

My dear kittigadu. I doubt if we will even be alive @ 80. But this guy MK @ 80 years pulls off an alliance of all parties north & south ,makes it a formidable one & gives the so called nationalist party of patriots a run for their money stunning the hindutva brigade into dumb silence.As for brahmins being smarter than I statistics tell it all. The SCs,BCs you trashed once upon a time are showing you the way right from India upto the USA. If I'm not smarter than you guys I won't be able to give you TIT for TAT with insolent ease. I have nothing against the brahmins it is only against hate spreading brahmins like you!
