In India, people just talk, but do nothing! As for caring, well, the facts speak for themselves! At the very minimum, they must demand better enforcement of the existing laws, better training, equipment and pay for Park Rangers, and formation of civilian oversight groups to monitor wildlife programs. People should demand the Federal Govt emulate South Africa's successful wildlife reserve management system - this do-nothing-but-talk mentality of the state and federal govts is contemptible. Soon there will be no Asiatic lions left - a noted CM had said that people are more important than lions, so if they die who cares. And universities' involvement can make big a difference.
