The Pope should not have hurt Muslim sentiments in this way. After all everyone knows that Islam is a religion of peace. However, Muslims do react on some occasions when their sentiments are hurt and it is difficult for these peace loving people to control some of their brethren during such times. Nobody likes to be called a violent community and some people are so hurt that they feel compelled to protest violently since for many this is the only way they know. Sad but true. Why cannot people such as the Pope be a little more responsible? The Pope must apologise unreservedly for his remarks or face the violent reactions of the peaceloving community that hates being labelled as violent. All Christians who follow the Pope must also apologise to their Muslim brethren. In a globalised society, we must be more sensitive to the repercussions of our actions and more so those in important positions.
