Matoo case
by Sashwati on Oct 17, 2006 03:52 PM   Permalink

Justice is blind...faith is blind too. As the Matoo case comes to a close, I can't help but feel a certain sense of smug contentment at its outcome. It was almost given that Santosh Singh, wold once again dodge the judiciary system and coninue living an unscathed life. However this twist in the tale would hopefully secure the knot tightly around Singh's throat.
Yes, ten years is quite a while, more s for the near ones of the victim who probably have died a thousand deaths in the interim. The case was almost forgotten, just like so many other lives that come and go everyday. However I wonder How Singh continues to live so shamelessly. Ditto with the murderers in the Bharati Yadav case, Manu Sharma and so many others that never make it to the headlines.
The Indian Judiciary system has redeemed itself albeit at the cost of a lot of time....all I can say is this could only be divine judgement!
May Priyadarshini's soul rest in peace...
