Just because someone at some remote corner of the globe writes something defamatory about Shivaji or Gandhi doesnt mean that orkut should be banned. These are miscreants who misuse every forum available to them.
There are emails floating around supporting cause of jihad in Kashmir. So what next : Ban emails?
Such petitions should be discouraged at primary stage itself. If need be, the government can warn Orkut and demand blocking such communities. Nothing beyond that.

Vinod, boolna aasan hai .. If Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj would not have been there .. today whole of India would have been Pakistan and you would have been Sultana .. During the Rule of Babar, Shahjehan and Aurangazeb et all, there was so much of plundering, looting, anarchy that U cannot imagine.. Kingdoms were attacked and the Royal ladies were taken by these Delhi rilers in their Harem .. It was the Great Maratha warrior who saved all of us Hindus and still we are Hindus.. otherwise kabki sunnat ho jaati .. Shivaji Maharaj united our people, fought the evil people and established the Hindavi swaraj .. hence he is very dear and Holy to us .. and hence no body has right to speak evil or foul about him .. so please come to senses .. tomorrow these people may publish your wife/sister/mother's semi/full naked picture on Orkut (by trick/digital manipulation) and then U will feel that ORKUT is bad .. won't you .. Hence there should be Censoring done by ORKUT et all or then they should be banned .. Do U understand
