Indo-Pakistan talks were 'cordial'
by Shiban Krishen Dudha on Nov 14, 2006 06:45 PM   Permalink

Dear readers!
The litmus test of success of talks is when Kashmir , Siachen and sir creeks issues will be discussed. Mr Shiv Shankar Menon is a highly experienced diplomat and the causes and effects of failures of past talks should be found quite handy by him. Holding a dialogue with Pakistan is endemically a razor edge walk. Teams from both sides will probably have a given matrix within which they can commit. We should not expect much out of this round. On account of deadlock due to Mumbai blasts, In the round robin pattern, it is the first of many matches to pave way for the final between Political establishment of the two countries. In political parlance, meeting to even disagree is a step forward. Let us wish the teams well.
