Drunken Driving
by Mathew on Nov 14, 2006 01:48 PM   Permalink

After going through all the stories about these people like Sanjeev Nanda, Salman Khan and other rich lousy characters of their ilk who are experts in killing people by running over them as result of driving under the influence of alcohol, I really wonder whether they can do the same in any other country despite the power and influence their parents have in saving them from any conviction.

It is the lack of fear for the law out there in India which encourages them to do whatever they feel like even if it means violating them law at there sweet will. Had it been in some other country in the Middle East or in Europe or US they would have spent there time inside the prison for such a kind of an offence.

But what to do? Why talk about punshing these people when they can get away from the law? We are Indians and we are good at raising and hue and cry for 3 or 4 days and forgeting such kind of an incidence or any other forever, only to be reminded once again when a similar kind strikes again.
