One major question remains to be answered in the article "Domestic Violence Act Explained", which is:
"How does Government ensure that the law is not misused as a weapon of legal blackmail and extorsion?"
As this question is not answered, I think Indira Jaisingh article is incomplete. Would she be kind enough to answer the above question? I think, only after satisfactorily answering this question, would Indira Jaisingh's article make any sense!
I agree with you on There are numerous instances where a male was harrassed by his spouse and in laws. And, this law will give such people another way to harrass their husbands. I think, this law should be changed to accomodate such cases too
I have seen cases too, and they are on the rise, women abusing awareness.
