I have been in Karnataka for the last 10 years and I have fond memories of both Mysore and Bangalore where I lived.Changing the names of these places will have no reasonable impact at all.It is an expensive proposition.This money could be utilised in other areas that need attention.As far as prof. Anantmurthy's feeling is concerned,I have high regards for it.But changing the name of the city is really not enough to bring back the flavour he is looking for.The city is full of people from all parts of the world so a mere change of the name will have no impact,I feel.
