While said in other language(s)???
by puma on Nov 07, 2006 05:38 PM   Permalink

When Bombay became Mumbai, Calcutta became Kolkatta, Madras became Chennai there was no uproar that is seen now bze they were one for proud.

The important thing to note here is there isnt a complete shift r change in the names as like of Bombay to Mumbai r Madras to Chennai but just to add huor ru at end of the existing names and pronounce in its native lingual way.

So, uttered in its native language one should do it with ru added and can you tell one to do the same while speaking in other language (while in English, Hindi, French etc..) Is it that? Can anyone tend to get into some others and tell them to do in his own way?

Its very fine to pronounce with its own flavor and how to add the flavor with other!? Soon many may try with bengalore or bengaloor by nature. You cant push there!!!
