Instead of 'Bengalooru' it should have been just 'Bengaloor'. This would have made whole India happy. In Sinskrit 'oor' means village/place. Instead of putting 'u' (Dravidians speciality of putting 'u' at the end) just '-oor/ur' could be enough. The name changed shows that no intellectual is involved in changing the name. It became bit tough for the other langauge people to pronounce it.
