"jj" is obviously misguided 'coz "geetha" never even mentioned the word "India" - but s/he does have a good point -- 5-10 generations down, the name will still b Indian, but the individuals purely American.
i personally know several 2nd-generation Indian-Americans who actually call themselves "Indian", but have *no* clue what it means to *b Indian* !
& thus we evolve ...
