Alright there are a couple of things that are wrong with India- but can the columnist point out one nation which is perfect? He complains abt people taking leave for a variety of reasons- hey, thts our culture. Aren't the French known for taking 6 weeks off every year.Maybe he is unaware of Corinne Maier's Book on France titled "Bonjour laziness". While I dont condone the discriminatory prices that foreign tourists are charged, give me one example of a foreign country where there exists no racism.I speak from personal experience.
For instance I can complain of officials at Paris airport pretending not to understand any English and as for their rudeness, the less said the better!( Did they say Mumbai is supposedly the rudest city in the world, ha!!ha!!) Its very easy to criticize another culture and another country, but before doing so, better take a hard look at your own country.
I think its time we Indians stopped belittling our own country, took more pride in what we have, improve what we dont have and put a stop to outsiders criticizing our country,our idiosyncrasies and our culture.
