Defence forces are the best employers in the country. From time of joining till death they look after their personnel .Over the years instead of productivity ,welfare has become the watch word for commanders. The defence budget takes not even half a day to be passed ,but non issues take up major portion of the time.m Let us not garner votes through this tragedy. Person with weak heart and mind have no place in Defence forces . They should think twice before joining.

Hi Sudhir, I was surprised to read how a sane person could make such irresponsible comment. Let's get few FACTS straight (1) Defence forces are far from the best emploters in the country, in fact most people who join the defence forces is because they couldn't make it to other institutes like IIT or other engineering or premier institutions. (2)A weak heart or some problem at workplace DOES NOT force a person to commit suicide. A person commits sucide only becauce of severe mental stress or something untowards happen to her which she not in a position to discuss with her peers ..maybe she was tortured at the place or she was sexually harrased (which I am sure the so called "military officers" are very capable of carrying out).
It only goes to show how dishonest and demoralised the Indian Army is. If there is anything called honesty and professional integrity left in the Indian Army then an enquiry should be set up and the people responsible for this tragic death should be brought to the courts of justice. People should not try to sweep things under the carpet and hush up the entire matter by making naive and purile coments like "Women dont make good military officers".
