I think it is clear to every single Indian that the caste system is going to be there for another 2500 years. No one believes it is going away. The root cause of most problems in India is the vast growth of the population, tripling in 60 years during which reservations were present.
I think the best solution would be to partition India into 2-3 different countries, then no one will have to offer justitications for reservations and percentages, nor feel merit is being compromised etc. Every group will have 100% reservations in their own countries and will worry about progressing in life rather than hating each other. And everyone will be much happier.
Otherwise I can predict what will happen, as some classes diminish in stature, they will realise that population growth is key to demand benefits, and will start having 10 kids to boost their percentage and become majority. Seeing this, other groups will also up their number of kids. One can imagine the results: massive overpopulation and land degradation, food and water riots, famine, instability as hatred and counter hatred increases and everyone will suffer.
Why doesn't anyone support this? It is the best solution.

I fully agree and India should be divided into country for General category, SCST and OBC. Strange it seems to me that OBC means OB class and not caste and yet the reservation is caste based. Backward class also includes poor upper caste so why not to give them reservations. Corrupt communists in India who shout from their rooftops about class are actually putting this drama while supporting the caste based society division all the time. May God help us.
