-------------- PS: I was denied entering temple and access to water at public places (an incident I observed as late as in year 2001 in a town). It happnes with ~20% of population (given my caste is OBC in some states and SC in others, at a Hinduism scale of 1-10 I put it at ~2) The mental trauma a person goes through under such circumstances is totally incomparable with anything else including the \'economic backwardness\' favoured by anti-quota ppl --------------
Very true. However, do you honestly feel that reservations in IIT provide the most help to those who labour under such abominations? My own experience is that most people in a position to take advantage of reservations have faced little or no discrimination at all. People from rural areas, men and women of great courage and determination, who have been victims of our society\'s evil and are still able to make it to the highest level (with or without reservations) are very few and tend to be exceptions. You may well be one such person of great character, but search your soul and you will find you are an exception too. Reservations must not be an end to itself. The end should be destruction of caste.

Mr.oppressed, We keep hearing this complaint over and over that Brahmins oppressed OBCs for centuries. Every OBC community practiced the profession of their cast freely and all educational institutions are open to every cast. Can you tell us how Brahmins stopped you from advancing your economical and intellectual level?
