Dear Lt. Col Laxminarayana (retd)
First of all let me thank you for reading my piece and taking time to comment on it. Atleast I can believe that people do read and these efforts do not go in vain.
I would have appreciated had you used a more polite and decent language in making your point expecially given your background like true fauji.

Had I been an advisor to the government as u alleged I would not have ripped apart the policy as I did in my piece and endorsed the policy of last 56 years, as u yurself admitted. I understand your anger against Pakistan, but I am one of those who prefers to exercise all options before resorting to military actions. Believe me diplomatic pressures sometimes do more, especially in the context of India's growing stature. When India can move the world around its interests in the Nuclear field, why not terrorism which affects all in equal degrees.

Bush would soon leave Oval office, but as relations between India and the US show immense promise for the future I do not think it would be difficult for India to use the US pressure to its advantage. Hope u can see the larger picture and not jump to some indecent kneejerk reactions nexttime.
