Sealing in Delhi and Afjal matter some parallels.
by Bagmar Satish C. A. on Nov 11, 2006 10:50 AM   Permalink

With full respect to judiciary, sealing issue in Delhi and protest by BJP and prematured protest by bJP over exercise by Afjal is contradictory and this double standsrd makes Indian Judiciary and democratic justice questionable in globe.
Basically, legislature makes law and judiciary interprets it based on facts collected by administration.Jurisdiction of these 3 vital pillars of democracy are very clear.
Law is something based on societies customa and traditions and religious sentiment too.Law has to be flexible for ammendments to suit socio, economic cultural religious needs and changes. It is not Bramhawakya. It is thus extremly surprising that instead of ammending laws 44000 traders are beten by administration with stick of judicial verdict as it is wrong to deny Afjal what are his constitutional rights with full respects to judiciary.
It has other side effects too.it shall open pandoras box in several ways to prevent Afjal have his rights and not comming to rescue of traders in Delhi is clearly imperilists influence to privatise retail trade which is 13% Indian GDP with 4 crores self employment.Traders too avoid corrupt practices.Avoid double standards too.
