Why are peace loving muslims and muslim organizations not coming out and protesting against the terrorists? To send a very strong message to these misguided people that islam does not preach killing of innocent. If large scale protests are held trough out the world and in India to the least it will make it difficult for terrorists to braniwash young people and commist such acts
Its high time peace loving muslims stand up and protect Islam. If the terrorists had it their way, no muslim can live freely, no muslim women can ever get education. Muslim women have lot at stake and very important role to play.
Such demonstration will definitely help unity of the country. Killing of innocents in any form is disnounced. Hindus are equally obligated to denounce extremist at their end and together it will help trust bulding measure. Peace loving people must demonstrate sharing of common values of humanity and love irrespective of the religion and send a strong message to these mindless people with only hate as their religion. Any takers for peace here?

Hemal, you are perfectly correct.
We need to know what is the educated Muslim thinking. Why are they not taking up these issues within their community? I have felt really sorry for the un-educated who are brainwashed by the power hungry politicians into violent acts, or take to streets, burn train coach (Godhra), burn policemen (in Bhiwandi). The Muslim society lives in two levels - one the classy, liberal, cultured and highly educated who have very little to do with Islam the common Muslim masses are fed by their Mullahs. Then there is the uneducated (or semi literate), living in ghettos, and who are mostly on the fringe who have become the fertile ground for terrorist thinking and actions. They are unfortunately getting isolated from the common society. They react violently against Hindus in India if something happens in Pakistan or elsewhere, to their co-religionists, their religion/prophet?
Unless Muslim intellectuals wake up and educate their masses, and free them from the clutches of fundamentalists and greedy politicians, there is not going to be real peace. We will alway live in a suspicious world. But who will stand up to take initiative to cleanse the minds?
