Do the Poilticians know this?
by Suraj on Jul 14, 2006 07:37 AM   Permalink

Though i stay far from Mumbai and all my near and dear ones in Mumbai were unaffected by the recent Blasts, it is heart rendering to see pictures of the people affected and read about the experiences and feelings of others on the blog. yes, the politicians are visiting the site of attack and people in the hospitals and they are bound to be moved at heart by seeing the sorry state. but the question to be asked is how much they feel themselves accountable for all the pain and suffering of the victims?
According to our ancient texts of Manu Smriti and Niti Shastras, the leaders of the state are responsible for 1/6 th of all the karmic reactions that are incurred in any wrong-doing in the state under their rule. The Shastras are very strict in attaching great responsibilities to posts of Power and priviledge held by the rulers. if they can enjoy to rule over their subjects, they must also be equally or more cautious in suppressing any acts of sin in their state. Else, they have to pay for the same. So, how much onus does the Politicians take on themselves for curbing such terrorist acts so as to save their own interests and not be losers themselves?
