It was stupid act to have erected a statue & equally stupid was to desecrate that.
Erecting a statue does no good for the deceased. GDP maniac Chidambaram would agree that it does not increase the GDP nor contain inflation. On the other hand the party men whether willing or not shall have to perform annual ritual of garlanding the statute on birthday, etc.
