don't we worship and believe in female goddesses?

Why such a fuss over a trivial issue in a country where women are primarily seen in a child-bearing role? Even if the Kannada actress did enter the temple at an age when she had attained puberty, what is the harm? Does one mean to say that women are lesser human beings? I wonder how long this kind of superstitious mentality is going to be persued in India! Menstruation - as many wise and learned might know - is also a cleansing process for the female body. Going by this, females should actually be allowed to enter temples rather than males. Continue with all these opression against women and continue aborting all female foetuses in India and one day you will end up with nobody to marry and procreate or carry your family name forward!
