Devil's Dens

"Majority of our citizens living abroad are people from humble origins; people who are struggling in adverse weather and living conditions; people who are at the mercy of their masters who often have little regard for human rights; people whose terms of contract have been violated and those who have been denied their salaries, leave and terminal benefits," he said, pointing at the plight of the NRIs, particularly those working in the Gulf."

Why is Chandy allowing citizens of "God's own country" to go to "Devil's Dens" (Gulf) and is shedding tears for them? Why doesn't he persuade them to remain under the protection of God in His own country.

The number of healthy and moderately eduducated (say human power)is really high in kerala in comparison to other indian states. Kerala is one place which was always open to foreign people and culture from pre-historic periods, making the people willing to explore different parts of the world .The current inrastructure in kerala doesnt allow a system where every keralite can find a job for living within the state, thanks to our say-no policy to industries.

How the people will survive at this outset ? They are regular people going abroad to feed their old parents or infants, and not to buy bungalows or BMWs! They are human beings with blood and tears, and their feelings should be taken into consideration before making a statement about it. Ours is a democratic country where the Presidents` and peasant`s votes weigh the same.H
