The Govt.'s decision to regulate the marriage of Indian brides with the bridegrooms of NRI's is timely. But the Indian girls, though offered a decent fellow as a bride groom, do not accept him. It is because of the fact that they believe that opportunities are in plenty when once in abroad, as has been publicised here. They do not look in to the columns in the news papers describing the plight of Indians in other countries (very recently on the Indian physicians). The brides even insult the local businessmen, though they have landed properties. This is a plague found in the so called upper class of our society, spreading to the middle class girls. They must realise that it does not rain milk and honey abroad. It is our girls who dig their-own graves. Let the Government have an iron hand in this.
