NO ENTRY FOR NON HINDUS
by Roshan on Jan 04, 2006 05:15 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I THINK GURUYAOOR TEMPLE SHOULD LEARN FROM TEMPLE AT SHIRDI WHERE DEVOTEES OF ALL CAST, CREED AND RELIGION ARE ALLOWED TO WORSHIP SHIRDI SAI BABA WITH OUT ANY DRESS CODE.

YOU FEEL MORE PEACE WHEN YOU VISIT SUCH SECULAR PLACE RATHER THAN A CIRCUS LIKE GURUYAOOR TEMPLE WHERE YOU HAVE TO DRESS LIKE A JOKER TO GAIN A ENTRY FIRST OF ALL.

Roshan,
Have some respect. what are you so ticked off. The dress code of the temple is and should be respected. This kind of dress code is also complied in Mecca and many other religious places. The only reason the religious places are not open to all and sundry because many people of other faith misuse the liberty. If you open the doors of Guruvayur and other Hindu religiuos places you'll not find many muslims or christians from India flocking the sacred place to bow their heads but you'll find many westerners with their cameras just out of curiosity for a circus they don't understand or respect or have any serious interest in.

Roshan,
you dont seem to understand that temples are not tourist spots. And as for the dress code in temples, nobody is forcing you to go to the temples. If you choose to go to one, you are implying that you are ready to follow the rules governing entry and stay. You can choose not to go,but cannot complain once you have done so
