What should Rajnath Do?
by Thobey Srinivasan on Jan 03, 2006 04:09 PM   Permalink

In the economic front, it is nothing more than sadak, bijili aur paani for the aam aadmi.

Let BJP focus more on developmental issues instead of emotive issues like Ayodhya that have been milked dry already. Today, keeping Ayodhya alive will appeal to neither the elite sections nor the common man who identifies himself with emotive issues.

Create poweful campaign against corruption. But before doing it the party must itself get rid of corrupt leaders.

On the electoral front, let it fight for reforms that will ban casesheeters from fighting elections,
ensure state-funded elections etc.

It must think of a social re-engineering process while at the same time boldly strive for reservations based on economic backwardness.

Bring together all pariwar organisations and make them awre of the greater role and responsibilities that await them in the future through frequent interactions.

Rajnath Singhji should enforce full descipline within the party and never ever re-admit people like Uma Bharathi known for their rank indescipline.
