DO THE RICH AND WEALTHY GET AWAY
by sanjay jain on Feb 22, 2006 02:43 PM   Permalink

Even wondering for a second whether the rich and the wealthy get away with the most heinous of crimes is comical.Cauz the fact is that its an undeniable truth clearly borne out by several examples.

The top politicains name figured not so in the distant past in the infamous Jain Havala case.Much hungama was created and the case went on for a number of years only leading to the acquittal of all one by one either from the trial court or from the higher courts.

The next famous trial relates to the Babri Masjid Demolition accused where the hitherto ruling partys politicans are accused.Despite a number of governments changing in Uttar Pradesh no government had the least of desire to pin down the accused and none will be.

Do we forget the Amma of the south?Accused in several cases of Dispproportionate Asset Cases and granting favours to her adopted family all she had to suffer was a day in the infamous Madras Jail only to be rewarded with a return to power in Tamil Nadu.

The most glaring and perhaps the most shocking case in independent India!s history of the rich and powerful people getting away with no punishment is the case of Lalu Prasad Yadav.
