cartoon controversy?

I dont agree with the writer totally, though he is trying to bring in some sense to a group at large, irrespective of their religion, we should undrestand that when we are in a democracy and part of a home to more than one religion and is certainly not necessary that if a single commmunity is targeted that others will rise to defend but that attitude you kick him I dont bother unless it hurt's me is no answer. Tolerance and silence is not the solution to the west's attitude of direspect to our god's this is our inablility and the attitude of the people who think similarly has in some way encouraged the west to continue this practice.
We talk about Fundementalism and fundamentalists in Indian religions but not to forgot that our so called fundamentalist never showcased disrespect to gods of others, just imagine the unrest in western media if our so called fundamentalists did the same to the Christian gods!!! Forget the media even the govt would have cried at this.
While I agree that protest's resulting in loss to our property is subject to penal action I dont agree that a simple sorry we are hurt message to west will work, we as a Democracy need to tell them we will not tolerate this any more.
Mr.Writer I shall not tell that you are a closet Hindu fundamentalist, someone who is entirely bereft of feelings of any community, on the contrary you belong to that class which shared the same opinion when Nazi's were targeting communities based on their religion and one group just kept silent because they did not belong to it until they became the target themselves.
