Nuclear Deal
by Manoj on Feb 26, 2006 07:57 PM   Permalink

The author does not list out the advantges that India will gain from such a deal. Just rosy talk about 21st century & technology will not suffice. Also the author seems to be dismissive about the opposition of indian scientists to the nuclear deal. Even in the 21st century there is one factor which all countries' are most conscious of; called self interest. USA is one country that is least bothered about advancing india or any other country in the world except themself. So one has to be very very careful when dealing with USA. Also why did GOI now agreed to put only 14 reactors in the civilian reactor list? So there was truth in the opposition of the scientists and opposition parties to the nuke deal. Recently a leading indian scientist had called the so called analysts who are supporting the nuclear deal as "Stupid Analysts". I wonder whether he meant Sri Uday Bhaskar as one of them ?
