His call for sobriety is very important in this day and age of terrorists attacking various cities in India and abroad. Hence, in this context it is pertinent and may perhaps be obvious that common areas of cooperation should be found. For example, the need to eliminate terrorism, in itself could help in "burying the hatchet" and fight for a common cause. In other words, this could be the "launching pad" with the known understanding that "adversity is the mother of invention". However, as rightly pointed out by the Prime Minister, the changing ground realities should be borne in mind in formulating our current strategy utilizing the excellent framework provided by our freedom fighters.
