i shifted to a call centre job after working in corporate sector for years.
bpos i guess will have the respect of corporate sector for the foll reasons:
1. unlike corporates bpos treat their employees like robots. one is expected to perform every minute. ahts, bio-breaks, u name it, u r identified by numbers such as these.
2. most of the bpos have ladies dressing up like call girls something which will never be tolerated by corporates even on their casual days
3. most of the managers in bpos are under the age of 30, resulting in immature decision making(ask a corporate guy why he specifies 40 - 55 age group for sr.managers). they have the wisodm of age on their side something unheard of in the bpo sector
4. they expect indians to be "americans" or "british" overnight by conducting silly sessions in their training classes(u should see some of the sessions to believe it)
