We strongly object some words used by some writers, we feel that they are the blind supporters of Marxist Communist Party. Marxist Communist Party and its theory is irrelavant in the present Indian Political situation. Last general election, they got maximum number of MPs from WB, Kerala and Tripura and they are blackmailing UPA Govt. from outside. Their words are pro-poor, pro-farmer, pro-labors, but their present ideology is anti-poor, anti-farmer, anti-labour. Their MPs do not wanted to collapse present UPA Govt because, they are well aware that most of their MP's cannot get a further chance to come to Parliament. Singur is not an issue of West Bengal, it is an issue which is the concern of all India where Agricultural lands and Forest lands are allotting illegaly to the mighty industries or in the name of some development. We need development in all spheres - Agriculture, Industrial and other sectors as well. There are written rules that agricultural and forest lands should not be given for industrial purposes, but the Governments are not interested to obey the rules of the land. Hi,
I agree that the issue of acquiring farmland for the purpose of setting up industry is a sensitive one and should be discussed with utmost caution. But unfortunately leaders like Ms. Banerjee is interested only in gaining political mialge from it. Otherwise how can you explain irresponsible acts like vandalising the assembly house or going on prolonged fast risking the law and order situation in the state. I do not believe that she is anyway interested in the wellbeings of the farmers. It is only the question of winning political point over her rivals. So many times she has been requested to come to the discussion table. But she refused bluntly. This just shows her intentions very clearly. We need some leader (with proper vision) to take up the issue of acquiring farmland for industry. Otherwise if leaders like Ms. Banerjee, MAIOPIC and ONLY INTERESTED IN PETTY POLITICS, are allowed to deal with the issue, then no one is going to profit, not even the farmers.
