I have visited Calcutta 5 times and toured around the city and the suburbs....Pathetic is the least word I could use after witnessing the infrastructure and cleanliness of the city...its not a metropolis (it was!) but a "slum"polis. diapilated wooden buses trams and what not! huh....feel pity for the people who have merged with the Adda lifestyle by doing nothing!
There is a tint of sincerity from the current CM (eventhough I am terribly happy that they are getting a taste of their own medicine) for what they did to Kerala and Bengal on a holistic note. Jytoi Basu destroyed bengal to what is was to a slumber!
To make matters worse is one like Mamta who hits the lines for the worng reasons...its high time she realized of not being hyper and comes to her senses for being actively involved in the industrialization of the place once deemed to be the capital of India.
