In the early to mid 90's mamata banerjee's oppostion to jyoti basu's misrule and tyranny in west bengal was very much appreciable. Now she seems to have lost her mind and getting into cheap politics. Industrialization is very much required in west bengal. Why can't she propose even better ways for the prosperity of the state. All through Jyoti Basu's rule CPM have been trying to keep bengalees poor to stay in power. mamata banerjee is now trying the same thing to attain power. For God's sake u guys don't destroy the state which was once an example of prosperity to the rest of India. Try and develop it , we are losing out. Dear Mamata Di please don't follow the political criminal Jyoti Basu's footsteps. Get some advice from Manmohan Singh.
Who is this guy insulting Tata's. The tata's built this country. They developed the first steel plant, the first automobile manufacturing factory, the first software company(TCS), Indian Airlines and Air India that are India's national cariers were Tata Airlines nationalized by Govt. 66% of Tata Son's Profit go into philanthropic works. IISC Bangalore was originally Tata Institute. No business group has done so much for a country.

Now I understand the whole issue of Nandigram. I am dissappointed with Tatas for wanting the real fertile farm land that will ruin the ecology, farmers and food production. Indians have forgotten those bad old days when we had shortage of food. Shame on Tata( who was 2nd to God in my opinion)shame on Buddadev.Jay Bangla, Jai Kissan!!

There are many closed factories In West Bengal and in the industrial township of kalyani,Govt.could have acquired these closed factories and given it to Tatas. Why they did not do it is the question ?

It seems u didnt read the article properly.. Tatas r being offered another piece of land on the other side which needs some land filling.. I dont think it is the same TATA's of values and ethics which they claim to be.. They are lavishly throwing money on buying a steel plant but would not like to compensate the farmers and would use their money, muscle and government to snatch the land from our poor which is a source of their livelihood..
