There is never in history of mankind any society which has survived or fluorished because of isolating or 'protecting'...the economy has fluorished, for allowing competition because competition brings in competence and thats whre world class industries are built...
Have anyone ever found an issue where everyone unanimously agreed to something? Nope. If you are taking a step ahead there will always be many people trying to be a pest, trying to pull you hold you back. If the land is alotted to a Corporation, are the farmers not compensated for that? Yes they have. Most have agreed. Did you expect everyone to agree? Not possible. Government in this matter can should and is authorised to take a decision which is to be honored by everyone.
Well except for those who are sitting with their back towards betterment or progress. Who still think only agriculture is answer to improving economy.
