Long awaited stictness ! well done
by Raj Rai on Dec 30, 2006 03:18 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I have absolutely nothing against the family in news ,I donot know them but I must remind them that now they are Americans in brown skin by their choice ,no body forced them to become that.
I have been travelling all over the world for the last 25 years but US has been the worst of its kind in implementing their regulations regarding visa/immigration etc .Many travellers have been sent back just because their computer refused to recognize them inspite of being holder of relevant visa issued by their embassy.
If those Americal authorities can be so strict and cruel with the travellers why not Indian Authorities.
I salute the Indian immigration officer who has done this ,its a lesson for these Indian turned Americans and also others that donot take Indian rules /regulations so lightly that you as claimed by the family in the news forgot to get a visa.
Come on give me a break!
Again congratulations and salute to authorities for doing their job diligently .
Well done.

Applause may be due IF the same policy is carried out regardless of whether you are an Indian or a westerner (white).
Unfortunately this is not so.Unless we change our slave mentality and treat fellow Indians with due respect,we will NEVER have equality.Haven't you seen the labourers coming from the Gulf who are treated like diret and ordered around for customs to grab what they can?
A sahib is given more respect and a white is bowed to.
This is not correct.
Rules are rules, law is law, but they are made to serve the people NOT to be served by the people.
So while corruption is a NO, humane behaviour is YES!

In other countries the citizens are helped through laws not hindered as in India. Public servants have to account for their behaviour, in India this is unheard of.People don't even know that they have the constitutional right to hold the public servant to account. So praise the immigration official's honesty, but did he take the right decision turning away 2 children whose parents ARE Indian citizens?

For those who sneer about the foreign citizenship, I bet if they had the chance they'd rush and apply themselves! To have rights abroad often implies taking citizenship.

Just because Americans do it, you should not promote that allow Indians or for that matter anybody else should foloow it. Seems to me that you have this blind following of everything American. You need to be mature.
