Surely the experience was very bad, and no one should face it again. But on the other side the family of deported, should not take for granted, while coming or flying to India.
Good at least, the family was able to speak or call somebody in US and had 45 minutes in hand, but if it would have been a case way around, and detained and deported from US. Ask the people who have faced deportation from US even after having proper documents.
So the family should not curb about the things over here, and have a look in their own backyard and plan properly a trip next time with all the documents.
