The columns says '..Dalits youths are struggling for an identity'. What identity - a Dalit identity? Or an over-arching Indian identity? If they want to belong to a truly casteless society, then any attempt at perpetuating a 'Dalit identity' makes them guilty of perpetuating casteism, and the resultant discrimination.

Reservations are legislative (not judicial or society) response to historical social evils to certain sections of the society. Government should scrap reservations when 85% of marriages in India are inter-caste or inter-religious.
