Was it right to have helped Bangladesh gain independence?
by Srinivasan on Dec 12, 2006 03:55 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I am of the view that they are not the right people for such a great help and sacrifices by India. I remeber a saying that if you want to donate something, select the right person who derves more!.

They are a headache for India for decades. Illegal immigration, encouraging anti-india sentiments, voting against India in almost all International forums, platform for ISI operations from the Eastern side, trying to occupy Indian lands near the border. We have not yet forgotten how they have killed and carried a BSF jawan some time back?!. They are the main reasons for many of the 'juggi chopdi' in major metros in India, and politicians, barring the BJP, exploit such illegal immigrants to corner votes, by extending them favours like ration cards, free water, free electricity, delaying their exit through procedural hurdles, getting them reservations, etc.
Through these they are really fooling around the Indian public all these years!.

Mr. Srinivasan is 100% correct. They really do not deserve it. There is a saying " When the iron is hot the Mrs. & Mr. Blacksmith pair are one at their aim, no difference at all" . Now you can see former West Pakisthan and East Pakisthan i.e. present Pakisthan and Bangladesh - they are one - making head-ache for india pushing through militants of pakisthani origin to our motherland creating all these nighmare for their once well wishers - poor indians... There is no second opinion.. It was a Himalayan Blunder we have done... Jai Hind ... Unnikrishnan
