Why the Dalits are angry

Hello,
The author seems to be well educated and has put in his views in a seemingly civilised manner (Civilised compared to what happened last week anyway). It would have been more believable if he had at least put in a false line of apology for all the carnage that took place last week.
I would like Dr Udit Raj to clarify a couple of points:
1)The reservation line is proferred citing non uniform oppurtunities for backward castes. So how do you justify the same family getting an oppurtunity more than once? Do you have the courage (I know I should say guts) to determine how many of these families have got a reservation somewhere along the line in the last 56 years and exclude their descendants from the benifits now? I know you will say this will be difficult, maybe you are right too. So go on to point no 2
2) Wouldn't a person who a gets a reservation in an educational institution be stripped of his right to say "unequal oppurtunity"? Or does society have to carry him and his family for eternity because some of his ancestors were oppressed.
3) Finally, I believe that asking for reservation more than once smacks of pure spinelessness.

Reservations are legislative (not judicial or society) response to historical social evils to certain sections of the society.
Government should scrap reservations when 85% of marriages in India are inter-caste or inter-religious.
